Joshua turns 6!!

I can't believe Joshua is 6! I am much too young to have a 6 and 9 year old, right :)
He celebrated his actaul birthday watching spider man movies and eating pizza. The next day we went to Hawaiian Falls water park. We were supposed to do that on his birthday, but it was raining. Then on Friday we had a swimming party for him. It was really nice and very relaxing. He takes his swimming very seriously!

Joshua's questions

Today, Joshua asked me why Jesus has a daddy. I told him that Jesus has a daddy just like he has a daddy. He seemed OK with that answer. The next thing I was asked was, "Mommy, do you remember when you bought me at the baby store?" I told him, Mommy didn't buy you at the baby store, and he says, "yes, you did. Don't you remember?" So I proceeded to tell him how he lived in my tummy for many months, and I stuck a water jug under my shirt to show him what I looked like (we were in the kitchen at the time, so it was handy to grab the jug. He got tickled and said, "oh I was so fat!" Then I told him about how when he was ready to come into the world, we went to the hospital not the baby store to have him. I loved my conversation today with Joshua. He was thinking things through and asking questions. It was wonderful.(7/1)

Happy Birthday Morgan!!!!

We had an Hawaiian party for Morgan's 9th BD..
I love all the colors..and we had a great time..
here are some pics from that party. I made a thank you
card with several of them on it that I wanted to share.
For each child that gave Morgan a gift, I changed out one of the pictures in the
card for a picture of Morgan and that little girl with the gift was given, so that each child got a personalized card.

Mom and Pop's Visit

Mom and Pop came the 28th to visit and have Christmas with us.
We had so much fun! We celebrated Christmas with them when they visited. My most special Christmas gift was from Gran, Marc's grandmother. She knew I wanted this picture of Marc when he was a little boy. So she gave it to me. I was so touched.

What's funny!

I'm bigger then you! NO, I'm BIGGER then you!!!

It's Christmas!!

On Christmas Day, since we couldn't go home for the holidays, the kids got us up and were ready to open gifts. The first thing we did was have Morgan read from Isaiah 9:6 which is the prophesy of the coming Messiah. Then Marc read from Luke Chapter 1.
After that we opened gifts. The kids received from really nice things from Santa. Nothing extravagant, though. The kids were really blessed with all the nice things they received and were thankful. Marc and I hadn't talked about doing gifts for each other becasue we were still catching up on his 7 months of unemployment, but he managed to surprise me with a wonderful set of fleur de lis statues, and a nice fleur de lis box. I loved it!
After we opened presents, we went to IHOP for breakfast. It was great. Mainly becasue I didn't have to cook. After that, we were feeling quite full and sleepy, so we went home for naps. We woke up to eat a late lunch/early dinner with our friends the Mattoon family. It was awesome! Her dad can really cook. They are itallian, so we had a real itallian christmas dinner. Marc said he wanted to eat there every year! His favorite food is Itallian..so he really stuffed himself.

After that, we were so exhausted, that we left their house around 6pm. We had promised the kids we would go see a movie, but they were so tired, they just wanted to go home. We snuggled up and watched a movie together, and were all asleep by 8:30. That's how tired were. Christmas was wonderful. We were very blessed to spend it together and with friends.

Our Christmas tree was filled with wonderful home made ornaments from the kids

and of course Roley had to get in the action. It was our first Christmas with her.

All Joshua wanted from Santa was this spider man and doc oct toy.

Morgan had asked for an E-Pet for Christmas. She really enjoys this toy.
