It's Christmas!!

On Christmas Day, since we couldn't go home for the holidays, the kids got us up and were ready to open gifts. The first thing we did was have Morgan read from Isaiah 9:6 which is the prophesy of the coming Messiah. Then Marc read from Luke Chapter 1.
After that we opened gifts. The kids received from really nice things from Santa. Nothing extravagant, though. The kids were really blessed with all the nice things they received and were thankful. Marc and I hadn't talked about doing gifts for each other becasue we were still catching up on his 7 months of unemployment, but he managed to surprise me with a wonderful set of fleur de lis statues, and a nice fleur de lis box. I loved it!
After we opened presents, we went to IHOP for breakfast. It was great. Mainly becasue I didn't have to cook. After that, we were feeling quite full and sleepy, so we went home for naps. We woke up to eat a late lunch/early dinner with our friends the Mattoon family. It was awesome! Her dad can really cook. They are itallian, so we had a real itallian christmas dinner. Marc said he wanted to eat there every year! His favorite food is Itallian..so he really stuffed himself.

After that, we were so exhausted, that we left their house around 6pm. We had promised the kids we would go see a movie, but they were so tired, they just wanted to go home. We snuggled up and watched a movie together, and were all asleep by 8:30. That's how tired were. Christmas was wonderful. We were very blessed to spend it together and with friends.

Our Christmas tree was filled with wonderful home made ornaments from the kids

and of course Roley had to get in the action. It was our first Christmas with her.

All Joshua wanted from Santa was this spider man and doc oct toy.

Morgan had asked for an E-Pet for Christmas. She really enjoys this toy.

Christmas ornaments

Morgan and Joshua had fun creating painting ornaments. Roley watched with anticiaptation. I think she thought she was going to get a meal since we were at the table doing the crafts. We also started a fire, and drank hot chocolate..

Pictures with Santa

Santa came to visit the kids last night. They were so excited.
Morgan could hardly contain herself! Joshua was alittle shy, but very excited.
He told Santa he wanted a spider man and green globin.
I hope we can find them!

Pics at the Pumpkin Patches

We've been to the pumpkin patch a few times this year. There are a few patches that are just fun to take the kids to so they can play.

Roley is home

Last night Roley went missing. Marc had taken her out while he put the garbage outside. He looked away for a second and she was gone. I prayed all day and searched all day for her. We finally got her back that night! A neighbor found her,and my sign happened to be outside his door. He said she followed him home and refused to leave. He fed her...of course she wouldn't want to leave! She won't turn away the hand that feeds her. His really huge dog was very protective of her Roley, and missed her after she was gone. She was so happy to see Marc and I.

Pumpkin Patch Time

October the 10th we took the kids to the pumpkin patch. There was tons of stuff to do like playing in haystacks, bounce houses, huge slides, and mazes. I didn't get very many pictures that day, but I did get a few. We are going back another time so that we can see all the other things. We had arrived late, so there wasn't a whole lot of time left. Morgan and Joshua had a blast.

Balloon Festival 2007

Here are photos from this year's Balloon Festival. We go every year. Mom and Pop make a special trip to Dallas for the festival. Mom has a fascination for the balloons, just waiting for the day she actually gets in one!! Although, as much as I would love to get in one, I am terrified of heights, and don't see it happening anytime soon. Pop bought Mom a new camera, so that's what we used for the balloon festival. It's a great camera. These pictures turned out beautiful. We were even able to get video....now if we could only figure out how to make the video sync up with the sound:)
the kids had a blast, and Morgan took a ton of pictures, too.
